  • The BASKL season is the same as the American Kitefliers Association, August 1st through July 31st
  • Unless otherwise noted, the flier's meeting for all outdoor competitions is at 10:00 AM in front of the Ops tent.
  • Due to the limited size of some of our outdoor venues, competition fields may not meet the requirements defined in the International Sport Kite Rule Book.
(This constitutes the required 30 day advance notice for all BASKL events.)
  • Time permitting, we will run any AKA sanctioned event upon request.

AKA Membership Is Required For All Sport Kite Competitors.

BASKL Registration Fees

  • Sport Kite Competition:$25.00
    Additional family members:$20:00 each
The best deal in town! Compete in as many disciplines as you want!
    Hot Tricks!
    • At every BASKL sponsored event you will get your chance to show your stuff. Rules are the same as at BKF (two trick pilots must "fly-off" against each other in three alternating 30- second bursts of radical trick flying), which means just about anything goes. This competition format is fast, exciting, and fun for competitors and spectators alike. Who can handle the pressure! Open to quad, dual-line or single-line sport kites. Starts right after the flier’s meeting so we recommend you come early, get registered and have your kite ready.
    Precision Competitors
    • Individual Experienced and Master precision events will be flown "PROGRAM PRECISION" style which is defined in the AKA Appendix to International Sport Kite Rulebook.
Novice will continue to be flown "STANDARD" style.
You can download all the rules from the AKA web site
  • Indoor: $20.00 (Competition and Free Fly)
First time indoor fliers can "Free Fly" for free.
